Get Involved Gathering “GIG”
Local non-profits are experiencing radical growth in 2025;
- Non-emergency medical transportation is up 275%. Seniors and people with chronic conditions rely on safe rides to essential appointments.
- Food insecurity has surged. As living costs climb and federal support shrinks, the Foothills Foodbank is stepping in to fill the gap.
- Meal delivery services have doubled. For many, these hot meals are their main source of daily nutrition.
- Senior wellness visits have also doubled. With isolation on the rise, more check-ins and companionship are needed than ever.
- Kid Communities are expanding. The Holland center just had 325 kids in their June 2025 summer program. This is up from 50 previously.
- Senior training classes have exploded – 500 participants so far in 2025 versus 200 this time last year!
Keep in mind—our towns of Cave Creek and Carefree don’t offer the vital services our local non-profits provide. These non-profits are the only source of support for many in our community.
This is what makes us a real COMMUNITY!
We had the opportunity to meet ALL of the local non-profits in one place, face to face. We heard about their individual demands for growth and time. Attendees matched our local non-profit needs with their availability. Most importantly, they aligned their passions with the needs of our community!
