Foothills Caring Corps
Foothills Caring Corps is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Carefree, Arizona that provides assistance and support to Neighbors- older adults, and persons with disabilities. The organization was founded in 1999 with a mission to promote independence, enhance the quality of life, and prevent isolation among the Neighbors in the foothills area of Maricopa County.
Staff, Volunteers, and Supporters strive to improve Neighbors’ lives by addressing socialization, health, wellness, and mobility to promote physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being.
Since June 2023:
- Non-emergency medical transportation is up 275%.
- Intakes and reassessments have doubled in the last six months.
- Nearly 300 new neighbors have been added since January 2025!
This growth reflects a clear truth: if our neighbors cannot leave their homes, they need us.
We are meeting this moment thanks to the dedication of our volunteers. Whether driving to a medical appointment, dropping off a hot meal, or offering a friendly visit, our volunteers are the reason this work continues. If you’re one of them, thank you.
But to sustain this momentum, we need your help to grow our funding to match the growing need.
